After nearly two years of battling serious medical complications, she was admitted to Vibra Hospital of Houston, a critical care hospital specializing in the treatment of patients who require extended hospitalization to manage complex medical needs.

Rotley Gilliam

When Rotley Gilliam arrived at Vibra Hospital of Houston, he faced significant medical challenges. A previous hospital stay had revealed a series of complex diagnoses, including respiratory failure, a non-healing wound on his left foot, chronic cellulitis and lymphedema, coronary artery disease, and hypertension. Additionally, Rotley experienced limited use of his left arm due to a recent onset of gout.

Shyla Smith Beard arrived at Vibra Hospital of Houston in poor health. Having experienced complications due to septic shock, Shyla required continued medical management after an initial hospitalization. Those complications resulted in amputations of both of Shyla’s legs as well as her left forearm.
